DCH Summer Camp has operated since 1924 as part of Dedham Community House (DCH), a non-profit community organization that has been a community hub for over 100 years and a prominent figure in the Dedham area for over a century. DCH was founded as the Dedham Community Association in 1922, and its estate is located in a historic mansion originally built by Judge Samuel Haven in 1795. The mission of DCH is to provide Dedham and the surrounding towns with a breadth of programming that encourages people of all ages to thrive and create lifetime memories.
DCH serves children from Dedham, Boston, Norwood, Westwood, Needham, and beyond, and partners with the Dedham Public Schools (DPS) to give a $100 discount per TREK week for campers in the TREK Program. DCH also partners with the Dedham School of Music and supports other local community groups through donated or discounted meeting and event space and by hosting networking events for local nonprofit organizations. DCH offers scholarships and financial aid to help make programs accessible and provides more than $200,000 in charitable discounts for programs and donated space each year.
