About

CRS Summer is the summer session of Charles River School and builds on a nationally recognized Creative Arts Program. The program offers a multi-arts experience that includes visual arts, performing arts, a musical theater production, nature, STEM, and day camp sports. Campers can take part in the Creative Starts program for younger participants, the Creative Arts Program, and a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) apprentice program, with activities such as Daily Noontime Shows, exhibitions, and performances.

• Ages: 4–15 years old
• Schedule: Program hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with early drop-off and extended day options available

Campers select classes and build their camp schedule from a list of courses released before the start of the summer, and activities are tailored by camper age group and ability. Each session culminates in a Festival Day with exhibitions and performances for family and friends, and Daily Noontime Shows give every camper a chance to perform on stage. Families have snack and lunch included each day.

CRS Summer is part of Charles River School, a PreKindergarten through Grade 8 independent school with a stated mission to honor the pursuit of academic excellence and the joy of childhood, to nurture each child by igniting curiosity, encouraging creativity, and cultivating intellectual engagement, and to graduate students who know themselves, understand others, and shape the future of a diverse world with confidence and compassion. The CRS Summer leadership team includes Adam Brewer, Camp Operations Director; Noelle Pierce, CRS Summer Program Director; and school leaders such as Head of School Gabe Burnstein, Associate Head of School Corie Fogg, Assistant Head of School for Teaching, Learning, and Equity Dorothy Gregoire, and other directors and administrators. The Community Association engages the parent community in community service, social events, and parent education.
