Mix It Up Kitchen offers hands-on recreational culinary classes, cooking parties, and events for kids, teens, and adults. The program also runs children’s workshops, date night classes, kids and teens classes, birthday parties, playdates, adult workshops, private parties, camps, no-school days programs, scouts outings, and field trips.

Mix It Up Kitchen describes its mission as helping people think “outside the box” through hands-on recreational culinary classes, cooking parties, and events. The leadership team includes Cheryl Farhat, Proprietor, Culinary Instructor, and mom of two budding chefs; Jason Wallin, Culinary Instructor and Chef; and Melissa Mason, Decorating Instructor. The team has experience in nutrition, organics, education, hospitality, and Cordon Bleu cuisine. Melissa Mason is an award-winning cookie and cake decorator with many works published in magazines, over 13 years of experience, an in-house bakery, and membership in the Wilton Hall of Fame. The program notes that one team member has been a resident of the south shore for many years and has learned what the region offers for ingredients and recipes.
