Camp Quequechan offers campers activities such as archery, theater and dance, art, STEM projects, nature exploration, high and low ropes courses, traditional sports, camp games, and swimming. In the afternoon, campers have time for games and snack as part of the daily schedule. Camp Quequechan gives children the chance to explore, try new things, and create lifelong friendships.
• Schedule: Camp hours are 9:00am–4:00pm, with extended care available from 7:00–9:00am and 4:00–6:00pm.
YMCA Southcoast has been working to provide health and social services to thousands of youth, families, and individuals throughout the Southcoast region for over 160 years. YMCA Southcoast’s mission is to improve the spiritual, mental, social, educational, and physical conditions of all persons. Camp Quequechan offers campers two facilities for the price of one. In the afternoon campers are transported back to the Fall River YMCA to enjoy the swimming pool, games, snack, and an opportunity to unwind. Campers are transported daily to an outdoor facility in Swansea located on 36 acres of beautiful land. Quequechan is an Algonkian word meaning “falling water.” The Camp Director is Traci Antil, who can be reached by phone at 508-675-7841 ext. 117 or by email at [email protected]. YMCA Southcoast has partnered with Greater Boston Food Bank to launch the Full Plate Project at five participating Y branches (Dartmouth, Fall River, New Bedford, Swansea, and Wareham) to address the growing lack of access to healthy, affordable food during economic struggles.
