Ipswich Family YMCA Youth Programs take place in a facility that includes Child Watch, family locker rooms, a fitness center, a gym, a pool, an early childhood center, and a weight room. The programs operate within the broader YMCA organization, which is guided by core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The YMCA is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
• Schedule: Open seven days a week with hours Monday–Friday 5:30am–9:00pm, Saturday 6:30am–6:00pm, and Sunday 8:00am–5:00pm
The YMCA was founded in London in 1844 and has grown into one of the largest organizations focused on strengthening communities in the United States and around the world. The Y is described as the leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community by empowering young people, improving the health and well-being of people of all ages and inspiring action in and across communities. Across all locations, the Y serves more than 64 million people in 120 countries, with 2,597 Ys across the United States and 18 million community members served annually in the U.S. YMCA programs include food programs serving 2.4 million youths and overnight camps with 244,000 participants.
