Mass Audubon was founded in 1896 and protects 43,000 acres of land across Massachusetts. Its mission focuses on protecting and restoring resilient landscapes, providing inclusive and equitable access to nature, mobilizing to fight climate change, and protecting birds and wildlife. Mass Audubon’s work is made possible through its members, supporters, partners, volunteers, and staff. Families involved with Mass Audubon have shared experiences such as noticing new natural features across forests, meadows, farms, and streams, feeling more connected to the natural complexity of the world through volunteering, and exploring multiple wildlife sanctuaries as members.
