Overland Summers offers summer hiking trips that include backpacking, rafting, summiting a 14er, hiking the Alps, and outdoor education. Trips are described as carefully crafted and are offered as supportive, wholesome experiences free of phones and screens. Overland Summers runs 34 programs worldwide and organizes its trips into four levels: Adventure, Explorer, Expedition, and Challenge.

Since 1984, Overland Summers has described its programs as more than simply a summer experience, with value and resonance that extends far beyond the boundaries of a single summer. Overland Summers is accredited by the nationally recognized American Camp Association. Overland Summers offers Zoom and in-person information sessions in January. Overland works continuously to make its community and those it intersects with more welcoming, fair, and inclusive.
