Behn Basketball Camp offers day basketball camps and overnight basketball camps, along with additional sports options that include softball, volleyball, and lacrosse. The program also runs volleyball clinics, vacation clinics, pre-season camps, and coed overnight weekend sessions, as well as day camps and overnight camps. It offers full day, half day, and overnight programs for boys and girls in more than 20 locations across Eastern Massachusetts, and has had over 27,000 graduates since it began.

• Ages: 6–17 years old

Behn Basketball Camp was founded by Sarah Behn in 1994. The leadership team includes Sarah Behn as Vice President and Chris Warnat as Director of Operations. The camp offers a Coed Overnight Weekend, a Girls Overnight, and, new for 2026, a Boys Overnight, and many young basketball players from the program have gone on to play at the junior varsity, varsity, and collegiate levels.

Sarah Behn was an All-America selection in basketball and soccer at Foxboro High School, set the Massachusetts state scoring record in 1989 with 2,562 career points, and remains in the top ten scorers in state history for boys and girls. She was named Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior, became the first Boston College woman to surpass 2,000 career points, and set a Big East freshman scoring record with 428 points while earning Rookie of the Year and All-America honors as a freshman. She is the only four-time All-America basketball player in Boston College history, became the Big East all-time leading scorer for men or women with 2,523 points, was inducted into the Boston College Athletic Hall of Fame in 1998, and had her jersey retired in 2003, the only female athlete at Boston College to receive that honor. Sports Illustrated named her one of the Top Ten Athletes in Boston College history, and after college she played professional basketball in Ettlebruck, Luxembourg, where she was the leading scorer in central Europe with 35 points per game. She has coached at the Division III and Division II college levels, served as Varsity coach at Foxboro High School, and is the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Brown University.

The camp’s stated philosophy is to instill confidence in young players by teaching basketball fundamentals, which in turn raises their level of play and makes the game more fun to play. Behn Basketball Camp is in full compliance with the regulations set forth by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, is licensed by local Boards of Health, and complies with 105 CMR 430.000. Parents or guardians may review the camp’s health care, discipline, and background check policies and grievance procedures upon request.

Pre-registration is not complete until each camper submits a copy of their most recent physical exam and immunization records, and the physical must have taken place within the last two years. Each camper must submit an updated copy of their most recent physical and immunization records, even if they have attended the camp before. One parent testimonial states, “Thomas is always talking about things he learned in Behn camp. We sign up for your camps first and plan the rest of our summer around them.”
