About
Nantucket Community Sailing Youth Camps & Classes offers hands-on sailing programs that include youth camps, private lessons, and regattas. The program also provides sailboat, kayak, and paddle board rentals, as well as women’s clinics.

• Schedule: Registration windows include Returning Sailor Registration from January 26, 2026 at 12:00pm EST to January 28, 2026 at 11:59pm EST; General Registration opens February 2, 2026 at 12:00pm EST; Islander Registration is open from January 20 at 12:00pm EST through January 22 at 11:59pm EST.
Nantucket Community Sailing was founded in 1994 as a nonprofit community sailing center. Its mission is to engage people of all ages in the joy of sailing, offer access to all Nantucket’s youth, and teach every participant enduring life and leadership skills with a deep respect for the marine environment. Programs are led by experienced instructors who prioritize safety, inclusion, and hands-on learning.
Nantucket Community Sailing is a US Sailing accredited nonprofit Community Sailing Center and a licensed Massachusetts Recreational Camp for Children. It has been recognized nationally by US Sailing with awards including Outstanding Seasonal Program (2010), Outstanding Outreach and Inclusion (2014), and Outstanding Program Director (2023). NCS serves island residents, seasonal families, and visitors through youth camps, lessons, rentals, community partnerships, and signature sailing events such as Nantucket Race Week and the Opera House Cup. The organization serves more than 900 youth annually, with more than 1,000 children and adults participating in its programs each year, and awards over $150,000 in scholarships and free programming annually, with a focus on environmental stewardship and community access through sailing. The leadership team includes President & Chief Executive Diana Brown, Boats & Facilities Manager Pascal Antonietti, Assistant Program Director Emily Aswad, Director of Special Projects Bobby Constable, Maintenance Assistant Matt Fabiszak, Program Manager Haley Johnson, Project & Development Manager Louisa Lindgren, and Program Director Emily Taylor.
