Coastal Discoveries

Coastal Discoveries offers fishing, exploring islands, whale watching, hauling lobster traps, local fisheries exploration, and a beach day celebration each Friday. In 2026, the program lists two Teen Weeks for ages 12+ and five All Ages Weeks for ages 8 and up, and fishing weeks are geared for students who want to primarily fish.

About the provider

Coastal Discoveries was established in 1988. Beth and Bob Bishop took over as program directors in 2014. The program says it has been making the connection between land and sea for 36 years and is a proud recipient of the BONS Best of the Northshore Children's Program 2014-2025.

We are on the boat all day and most nights during the summer. A deposit of at least $200 per session is required with the application. Include $15 for each T-shirt. Best way to reach them is email or Beth's cell phone. Must be 8 or older. Permission is requested for Coastal Discoveries to use photos and video of the child.
