Island Alpaca Educational Workshops & Alpaca Discovery Programs include activities such as Alpaca Yoga, Alpaca-Grams, Alpaca Walk & Talks, and Alpaca Discovery for Children & Adults. Participants can also take a self-guided walking tour of the farm and watch an informative video presentation about the alpaca lifestyle. Alpaca Discovery for Children & Adults is available most days from 10 am to 11 am for all ages, and anyone under 14 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Island Alpaca Educational Workshops & Alpaca Discovery Programs are part of Island Alpaca Company of Martha's Vineyard, which began in 2004 with the purchase of 19 acres of land and an antique post-and-beam barn, and by 2006 had a starter herd of 31 alpacas. The core staff includes owner Barbara Ronchetti, along with Tayla Delaive, Samantha Cameron, Pam Harwood, Alexis Hughes, and Frances Pizzella. The farm offers educational workshops for both children and adults, year-round or winter alpaca boarding (agisting), a sponsor an alpaca program, and alpacas available to attend weddings or special events. Island Alpaca has been voted “The Best Children's Activities on Martha's Vineyard” along with the Flying Horses Carousel and has been featured in Cape Cod Life Publication, a New York Times video titled “36 Hours on Martha's Vineyard,” and on the Growing Farm Podcast. The farm also supports The Nunoa Project of Peru, which focuses on helping the people and camelids of the Peruvian Altiplano and is dedicated to the scientific research of camelids.
