Sail Martha's Vineyard Summer Programs include activities such as Messing Around in Boats, Minnow, Scup, beginner, intermediate, and advanced windsurfing classes, and private sailing and windsurfing lessons. The program also offers Sail Mobility on-the-water experiences for islanders of all abilities, MVRHS Maritime Studies, a varsity sailing team, a fall youth sailing program for middle school and high school students, The Martha’s Vineyard Rowing Club, Menemsha Pond Racing, and a USCG Captain’s Course.

• Schedule: Summer programs for ages 8–18 run June 22–August 14, 2026
• Price: Individual Membership: $140. Family Membership, for up to two adults and their children aged 8–17: $220. Rowing Membership, for members of the year-round rowing club: $275. Youth Membership, for ages 8–17: $140.
Sail Martha’s Vineyard was founded in 1992. Sail MV was founded in 1992 to provide free maritime education to young islanders, and to preserve and protect the island’s maritime heritage. Membership is required in order to participate in Sail Martha’s Vineyard’s summer programs. Adult members can take private lessons at a reduced rate during the summer season. Year-round island youth with a membership may take Messing Around in Boats, Minnow, Scup, and beginner windsurfing tuition free, and intermediate and advanced classes at a reduced rate. Sail Mobility offers on-the-water experiences for islanders of all abilities.
The Winter Lecture series at the Black Dog Tavern will be held on Wednesdays February 18 and March 18 from 6–8 PM. The 2026 Seafood Buffet & Auction will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Tisbury Wharf from 5:30 to 9:30. The 2026 Vineyard Cup Regatta will be on Friday and Saturday, July 10 and 11, 2026, with Sunday the 12th as a reserve day.
