Dramafun offers drama classes, shows, and rehearsals for productions such as The Jungle Book and Mary Poppins, along with a family music program called Music Together. The program includes General Music, Movement, Drama, creative drama, Staged Readings, the City Spotlights program, music lessons in piano, guitar, ukulele, bass, and songwriting, as well as a dance program, workshops, programs, and master classes.

Dramafun is led by Founding Director and Lead Teacher Courtenay Harrington-Bailey, whose work is guided by the mission statement, “Creative people need a positive outlet! In all her work, Courtenay is committed to inspiring students to discover the joy, power, and personal expression found in the performing arts.” The leadership team also includes Guest Choreographer Savanna Vaughn for Descendants the Musical and Frozen-Kids, Guest Choreographer Mira Shuler for High School Musical, Guest Choreographer Ella Sweeney for Mean Girls Jr. and Annie Jr., Theatre Teacher Karen Santos, and online-only music teacher Ethan Bailey for piano, guitar, ukulele, bass, and songwriting. Since moving to Cape Cod in 2005, Courtenay has focused on arts education and served 17 years on the faculty at The Bridgeview Montessori School in Sagamore, where she taught General Music, Movement, and Drama to students ages 2.9 to 12.
Courtenay holds a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Music Performance and Theatre Arts and has been a member of the Actor’s Equity Association for over 30 years. She co-wrote and starred in the original play “Death—It Happens,” which won the Audience Choice Award at the NYC Frigid Festival. Savanna attended CUNY Hunter College as part of the Dance Program and has taken workshops, programs, and master classes with The Rockettes, Rhonda Malkin, and Stagesmith Dance Training, and she is the owner and director/lead teacher at Align Dance Training in Sandwich. Mira attended the School of American Ballet and Joffrey's Jazz and Contemporary Program on full scholarship under the direction of Michael Blake and has taught as a musical theater instructor at Europa Park’s premiere dance academy and at various schools across the United States. Ella attends Hussian College, working toward her BFA in Commercial Dance (Class of 2024), and her professional dance credits include Rick Astley’s InsurAAAnce commercial, Ross Lynch’s “Heart Of Mine” music video, Now United’s movie “Welcome To The Night Of Your Lives,” and the burlesque show for Les Femmes Productions; she also founded and runs the hip hop crew Battery Acid in Los Angeles. Karen holds a Master of Arts Degree in Theatre Education from Emerson College and has a background in international non-profit management. Ethan is a graduate of New York University’s Steinhardt School of Music with a BA in Music Technology and was signed as a recording artist to the Monstercat label under the alias Soupandreas; his music has received millions of plays on streaming platforms, has been performed at San Diego’s Petco Stadium, and can be heard on the video games Fortnite and Rocket League and in several commercials.
Through the work of its staff, Dramafun has connections to several community arts organizations. Courtenay’s 17 years at The Bridgeview Montessori School in Sagamore included teaching General Music, Movement, and Drama. At the Sandwich Arts Alliance, Karen taught creative drama, acted in Staged Readings, and served as Acting Executive Director, and she has also taught creative drama at Waldorf School of Cape Cod, Barnstable Intermediate School’s cluster enrichment program, Cotuit Center for the Arts, and The Cape Cod Theatre Company/Harwich Jr. Theatre. At the City Performing Arts Center in Boston, Karen worked with the City Spotlights program, a cultural celebration of Boston neighborhoods that culminates in an intergenerational ensemble performance piece.
Dramafun offers a scholarship fund to provide more opportunities for children to participate. The program lists an August 2025 production of “13 The Musical-Jr,” voice lessons with openings on Thursday afternoon, and an online-only music teaching option for piano, guitar, ukulele, bass, and songwriting.
