About

Next Level Adventures Youth Programs at Camp Wilder offers activities such as team building, summer camp sessions, after-school programs, and field trips. Participants take part in outdoor and adventure activities including snorkeling, scuba, top rope rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, soccer, outdoor education, first aid and CPR, fishing, caving, orienteering, hiking, and survival skills.

Next Level Adventures works to inspire greater self-confidence and respect for the environment through adventurous outdoor experiences. The program is described as offering “the best outdoor adventure camp in all of New England” and is a family-run business dedicated to the improvement of the natural world. Programs are custom designed to suit the specific needs of each group, with an emphasis on Leave-No-Trace ethics and environmental stewardship, and the office is described as being “in the woods.” The organization invites families and community members to join Clean-up Days throughout the year, which are advertised on their Events page.

The staff has over 50 years of combined outdoor leadership experience, and leaders hold nationally recognized certifications including Red Cross CPR (adult, child, infant), First Aid/AED, Wilderness First Aid (WFA), Project Wet, Project Wild, Project Learning Tree, Leave No Trace (LNT), Orienteering, Survival and Cold Weather Survival, Search and Rescue, Land Navigation, ACA Canoe and Kayak (flat and white water), BSA Top Rope (rock climbing), and PADI Scuba Dive Master. All aquatic leaders must have current lifeguard certifications, and all leaders must have basic first aid and CPR training. The staff includes a current Massachusetts certified teacher of 15 years, a former EWT school teacher of 5 years, a former counselor/teacher’s aide at Brightside, and two former professional soccer players who are now high school coaches. One testimonial from Springfield School Adjustment Counselor Gianna Allentuck notes that “Brad and Team fit perfectly with the nature and spirit of the whole day... There were lots of laughs, hoots and cheers - and some nail-biting moments - with everyone leaving feeling invigorated and bonded. In one evaluation, a counselor wrote ‘Best PD in 20 years!’”
