Kids’ Cooking Classes at Duck Soup offers kids’ cooking classes in a setting that also hosts other cooking classes. The program takes place at Duck Soup, which is described as a quirky, indefinable, yet beloved neighborhood institution that is not quite a coffee shop, cheese shop, kitchen shop, or gift shop, and now has a package store liquor license and serves cooking classes alongside its other offerings.

• Schedule: Hours are 9:30 am–6 pm Monday–Saturday and 12 pm–5 pm Sunday.
Duck Soup opened its doors for the first time in 1971. It specializes in “a little bit of everything,” with a constantly changing line-up and custom gift baskets. Its sister company is the Sky Bar Candy Co., which manufactures the original 1938 Sky Bar, and in 2018 Duck Soup took on the former NECCO Sky Bar candy and now makes it at a facility next door. On April 10, 2017, Duck Soup acquired the Kiff brand of baked products. Duck Soup states that it has always been a place where everyone is welcome and customers become friends, and it is now one of the longest continuously operating retail stores in Sudbury.
