About

The gymnastics program is part of Tiburon Swim Academy and includes swim clinics, a recreational swim team, swim lessons, swim lessons for adults, a USA swim team, and parent/child classes. The program is led by coaches who work with athletes in these specific swimming activities.

Coach Adam is a children’s coaching specialist and has been teaching athletes of all ages for the past decade, mainly focusing on children between the ages of 15 months and 12 years old. The leadership team includes Coach Adam, Coach Carl, Coach Eric, Coach Dom, and Safe Sport Coordinator Joshua Cohen. Tiburon Swim Academy describes itself as a student-centered swim school that builds strong relationships with swimmers, helping them to build confidence, face their fears, and gain the skills they need to overcome obstacles in daily life. The program notes that coaches teach more than the backstroke and that they have daily opportunities to change a child’s life for the better. Most of the first 100 swimmers taught by Coach Adam were students who had flunked out of other swim schools due to fear or anxiety, and he taught each of them to enjoy swimming. Tiburon Swim Academy offers a competitive salary and benefits package after the first year of employment for staff and has an app that can be used to manage accounts, register, and receive important notifications. The organization will be offering 100 free swim lessons a week for members of the Waltham Boys & Girls Club. In its community involvement, Tiburon Swim Academy took over the Aquatics program at Branches at Meadowbrook School, a summer camp in Weston, MA, and began offering swim lessons at the Meadowbrook pool.
