About
Camp Q is a traditional day camp where campers take part in arts and crafts, sports, science activities, and field trips. Campers also swim and play at Morses Pond as part of the regular camp schedule.
• Ages: 7–12 years old
• Schedule: Field trips on Tuesdays and Thursdays, weather permitting; extended AM option from 8:15–9:00am and extended PM option from 4:00–5:00pm
• Price: Extended AM and PM options cost $25 per week.
Camp Q has a maximum of 100 campers, and camp staff ratios meet state regulations. Campers are bused to Morses Pond to swim and play three days per week, weather permitting. All campers must pass a swim test performed by the Morses Pond staff to swim in the deep water area, and campers who do not pass the swim test are required to wear personal flotation devices provided by the camp. Campers receive a camp T-shirt to wear on field trips, and field trips are typically within a one- to two-hour drive from camp.
All Sr. Counselors are 18 or older and all Jr. Counselors are 14 or older, and both attend an orientation session that includes First Aid and CPR training. Each counselor is CORI/SORI checked each year. All of the summer camps are licensed by the Wellesley Board of Health.
CampDocs is used to collect all required camp forms electronically, and all health forms, permission slips, authorization to administer medications, and immunization records must be filed electronically at www.CampDocs.com. Each camper should bring two nut-free snacks, lunch, and a reusable water bottle daily, with refrigeration provided except on field trip days. Campers should also bring a swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, and sunscreen every day. The camp director is Chad Norton (contact: [email protected]).
