Camp Casco’s mission is to provide joyful and inclusive camp experiences in Massachusetts for children impacted by childhood cancer. The organization states that it creates a safe haven where kids can build lifelong friendships, discover their inner strength, and enjoy the simple pleasures of childhood, and that it provides these experiences to New England kids free of cost. Every program is staffed with 24/7 medical care.

The Camp Casco Overnight Camp Director is Victoria “Scout” Valencia, who is also a childhood cancer survivor. Camp Casco must comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and be licensed by the local Boards of Health. The organization highlights its appreciation for its partners.

Parents and campers describe Camp Casco as a special place, with campers calling it “the most best week of my life” and “my daughter’s happy place.” Parents report that their children still talk about their week at Camp Casco, that their children “had a blast” and “can’t wait till next summer,” and that campers ask to return as soon as they get in the car. One camper shared that they learned they are better at making friends than before and that they “really love this camp.”
