CASA Youth Programs has been working to establish free safe alternatives for youth since 1997. Its mission states that, in collaboration with community partners, CASA offers no-cost, safe, inclusive programming with opportunities to build resiliency, foster social emotional learning skills, and address mental health needs for youth and families, and that through outreach and initiatives, it aims to empower youth to actively engage in their communities and to reach their full potential. CASA collaborates with community partners including For Kids Only, Winthrop Public Schools, Winthrop Public Health and Clinical Services, Winthrop Parents Network, Winthrop Police Department, Winthrop Public Library, and SPARK, and uses coalition-building within the communities it serves.
