For Kids Only Afterschool offers out-of-school time programs that use a holistic learning approach centered on creativity, individuality, and imagination. The program welcomes and includes every child and describes each person as having a unique “heartprint.”

For Kids Only Afterschool has 40 years of service and serves 1,600 children per year across 18 locations in Massachusetts. Its mission states that it brings families and communities together to provide a safe space for all children to thrive during out-of-school time hours and to help children love, learn, and grow while inspiring every child to leave a unique mark on the world. The program’s values include practicing kindness, deep respect for others, collaboration, support, and compassion, and it offers custom experiences for children with unique needs so that all kids in the program share a positive outlook and sense of togetherness. The programs are licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). The organization reports that its trained and certified staff keeps children safe, engaged, and happy.
The leadership and administrative team includes a founder and strategic advisor, an executive director, a director of operations, a director of finance, a director of development, a director of quality and workforce development, and a director of child and family services with MSW and LICSW credentials. The team also includes district directors for Chelsea, Everett, Peabody, and Revere Winthrop; site directors for Chelsea, Everett, Peabody, Revere, and Winthrop; behavioral health coordinators in Peabody, Winthrop, Everett, and Revere; and managers and specialists in areas such as facilities, grants, special projects, family access and enrollment, human resources, communications, transportation, and subsidies. Board leadership includes a president, vice president, treasurer, clerk, and several board members.
For Kids Only Afterschool participates in community activities such as teaming up with the Mystic River Watershed Association for a beach cleanup at Revere Beach with families and children from Winthrop and Revere to remove debris and raise awareness about environmental conservation.
