The stated mission of Guild Hall Learning is to focus on building real world skills, engaging communities, and passion within every student. The program emphasizes that there are no rinse and repeat projects and that students are given tools and freedom to create their own solutions to each project, problem, or task. For younger learners, lessons and projects start with a problem and a story, while older learners are presented with situations where they do not have all the information and can discover their own problems. The program uses failure based learning methodologies that allow students to make mistakes and learn from their experience, and it states that programs are designed to meet students where they are and to be guided by experienced and passionate teachers and mentors.

Guild Hall Learning notes that it has the equipment and specialized instructors to bring cutting edge and engaging STEAM programs to children, students, or groups. Offerings include memberships for ages 8–18, scout badge events, homeschool groups, special events and parties, workshops and bootcamps, and remote programs with mobile curriculum that can be brought to schools, libraries, or other groups. All programs and curriculum are aligned with state and ISTE standards and tailored for each environment, and programs and experiences are described as allowing for full group interaction, problem solving, and creativity for group sizes from 6 to 600. Each location is described as being designed to provide what the local community needs and has asked for.

Additional activities and events include SLIME TIME! A Ooey-Gooey Kids’ Activity in Cambridge where kids create their own colorful, squishy slime to take home, and Creative Web Coding for Kids with fun projects and games. The program also lists an Early Bird Discount of 20% off all summer camps, valid until Friday Dec 12 at 11:59 PM, and mentions open house events in Woburn and Cambridge where kids ages 8–17 and their families can explore, create, and compete together at the Guild Hall Learning Hub & Makerspace.

Parent and student testimonials describe a 13-year-old who enjoys learning different skills and having hands-on experiences, a nine-year-old in a Junior Maker class who directs his own project from design to inception and has also attended a camp, and a child who talks a lot about the different projects he works on and attends regularly. One student testimonial notes going most weeks, learning from making things, appreciating the instructors, and liking that the teaching approach focuses on letting students figure things out with suggestions rather than step-by-step direction.
