The EcoTarium’s mission is to inspire a passion for science and nature, and the community has supported the EcoTarium for almost 200 years. The leadership team includes President & CEO Noreen Johnson Smith; Director of Education & Exhibits Katie Chappell; Director of Building and Grounds Robert Krafve; Chief Advancement Officer Debra B. Shear; Director of Finance & Business Operations Sharlene Sallet; and Senior Manager of Philanthropy and Engagement David Zeutas-Broer. The program uses the CampDoc system to process camp registration and paperwork, and required forms include acknowledgement of camp guidelines, health forms, permission forms, and waivers that must be completed at least two weeks before a child attends camp, with the camp required to send a child home if these forms are not on file. The EcoTarium can donate a Family Pass to fellow non-profit organizations and schools within a one-hour driving time from the museum to support their raffles and auctions.
