Founded in 1981, Kiddie Academy has been shaping, fueling, and nurturing children’s natural curiosity for over 40 years. The company was founded by George and Pauline Miller, and the Miller family continues to own and operate Kiddie Academy. The program uses a proprietary Life Essentials curriculum that focuses on six key outcomes that prepare children for life, and education experts with a deep understanding of childhood development and psychology continuously enhance this curriculum. The mission of Kiddie Academy is to prepare children for life through early childhood education, community commitment, and the Life Essentials curriculum, with an emphasis on education and encouragement both in and out of the classroom.
All Kiddie Academy educators must meet or exceed state requirements for child care providers, including background clearance, education qualifications, and ongoing professional development. Each Kiddie Academy has secure entries, authorized pick-up procedures, cleaning protocols, and background checks for all staff, and employees are trained on health and safety protocols. Technology is incorporated as a supportive learning tool in a balanced way for learning activities such as science, literacy, and math content. The program also offers a summer camp program called CampVentures. Kiddie Academy focuses on benchmarking measures of excellence and proactively securing accreditation, and describes itself as a welcoming community where lifelong friendships and lasting memories are formed, with locations across the country that nurture, educate, and inspire children for the future.
