• Ages: Birth–18 years old
• Schedule: Special events on Fridays in February from 5:00–8:00 PM or 5:30–8:00 PM, and Summer Music Camps 2026 running June 15–August 28, Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM, with before care from 7:30 AM and after care until 5:30 PM
The program states one main goal: to make music fun and inspiring for people of all ages, abilities, and financial situations. It describes itself as a modern music education resource with music programs from birth through adulthood, exposure to various genres of music and music throughout the world, and the history behind them. It notes that teachers are upbeat, keep it fun, and cater to the interests of the students while providing high-quality music education, and that it serves as a one-stop musical resource for Annapolis music.
Naptown Sings and Plays! Music Programs and Camps offers need-based scholarships and works with numerous organizations to bring scholarship programs to students who cannot otherwise afford music lessons and classes. Its community involvement includes local performances, organizational partnerships, scholarship funding, regular gigs at Annapolis festivals, and outreach to local schools and beyond. The program states a focus on fun, quality, community, inclusivity, and accessibility, and describes itself as a safe space for students of all races, cultures, gender identities, sexual orientations, financial situations, and creeds.
Parent feedback includes comments that a child in small group lessons for three years shows a clear difference in awareness of songs on the radio, that communication during lockdown was strong and kept music in kids’ lives, that a 4-year-old called her Naptown Sings and Plays! birthday party the best birthday ever, and that Mrs. Sophia is very patient, puts a lot into her classes, and goes out of her way to make singing fun for kids.
