Love Life Yoga (outdoor sites in Arnold & Severna Park), 965 Ritchie Hwy, Arnold, MD 21012
About
Outdoor Kids Yoga, Art and Nature Camp includes yoga poses, activities, games, songs, creative movement, teamwork activities, sensory art, and time to play outside in nature. Each day also includes pool and water time and a “Yoga Kids Toolbox” with techniques for breath and mindfulness for stress management, relaxation, and focus.
• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Full day, Monday–Friday, 9:00am–4:00pm
Outdoor Kids Yoga, Art and Nature Camp is in its 14th year. The camp is led by Michele, a yoga teacher and founder of Muv Dance and Yoga, co-founder, creator of Shake Your Shakti, and teacher and retreat leader at Love Life Yoga. Michele received a degree in Fine Arts and Dance from SMU in Dallas, completed her first training with Erich Schiffmann, and completed trainings with Maty Ezraty (Ashtanga) and Lisa Walford (Iyengar) at YogaWorks, as well as with Saul David Raye, and did her apprenticeship with therapeutics teacher Jasmine Lieb. She has been teaching yoga and dance for over 25 years. The camp is process oriented and based on holding space for creative learning, connecting, and allowing each child to thrive.
The program is described as a one-of-a-kind outdoor camp, and each day includes pool and water time and fun. It includes a “Yoga Kids Toolbox” with techniques for breath and mindfulness for stress management, relaxation, and focus. There is a BraveHeart Run Club collaboration for the July 27–July 31, 2026 session, and before and after care is available for the first two weeks on request.
Michele will continue to offer free classes to the public library, veterans, schools, and Girl Scouts. Her “Yoga for the Classroom” DVD was reviewed by Yoga Journal, which stated that she is “genuinely warm & encouraging” and “manages to not only show the kids a fun time, but to teach them something about alignment & the benefits of yoga.”
One parent, Julie Day, shared that her son has been a yoga student of Michele’s for almost 9 years and that he loves the artistic and loving environment she creates, as well as the combination of nature, art, and yoga at camp. Another parent, Meg Callery, said her 12-year-old started yoga with Michele at age 4 and that Yoga Camp was her child’s favorite time, giving her a chance to express herself through art projects and yoga in what she described as a safe, peaceful, and joyful place.
