Baltimore Clayworks Kids & Youth Classes and Summer Camps offer ceramics classes that include wheel throwing, hand building, sculpture, and a variety of glazing techniques. The program includes hands-on clay experiences and wood kiln firing. Baltimore Clayworks also offers virtual workshops, virtual classes, virtual artist talks, a Virtual Studio Tour, and events such as the Resident Artist Cup Sale and Tea in the Gallery.

Kids & Youth Classes and Summer Camps focus on fun and experimentation, and materials and firing are included. Baltimore Clayworks partners to curate and provide ceramics classes within schools, community centers, churches, and social service agencies, along with outreach and recovery programs throughout Baltimore City and the surrounding regions. Baltimore Clayworks was founded nearly half a century ago and continues to promote its mission of sharing the joy of clay with all, including those who are unable to travel to its studios. Spring 2026 Classes go live for the general public on January 22, 2026 at 10:00 am, and the scholarship deadline is February 2, 2026 at 11:59 pm. The organization offers an 11th biannual juried exhibition, Teapots XI, which includes functional and sculptural teapots created by emerging and established artists. Baltimore Clayworks maintains a Digital Archive called the Baltimore Clayworks Virtual Library and a Digital Maryland Collection that includes photographs, event flyers, newsletters, press materials, catalogs, and internal documents. The shop offers handmade ceramic arts and pottery created by local and nationally recognized ceramic artists, and gift cards are available. The shop and galleries are open Tuesday–Saturday from 10:00 am–5:00 pm and Sunday–Monday from 12:00–5:00 pm. There is a large parking lot payable by mobile app with four accessible parking spots, paid street parking on both sides of Smith Avenue with one accessible space near the studio, and one free accessible parking space off Greely Road in their lot. All proceeds from the parking lot directly benefit Baltimore Clayworks. Baltimore Clayworks is a one minute walk from the Mt. Washington Light Rail Station, and MTA Bus lines 94, 33, and 34 serve the area. Private hands-on clay parties can be booked. Stephen Callender is the Director of Community Arts and Engagement, and Matt Hyleck is the Executive Director of Baltimore Clayworks. Baltimore Clayworks maintains its commitment to the communities it serves throughout Baltimore City and in the region.
