Camp Carlo is a summer camp experience that encourages both campers and Counselors to grow in their faith and love for Jesus Christ as part of a new Youth Ministry initiative designed to minister to different age groups within its faith community. The program states that campers grow in their faith with the guidance of young Catholic Counselors serving as role models in a fun and safe environment, and that high school and college instructors share and grow in their love of Christ through daily Mass, theology discussions, and Eucharistic Adoration. Camp Carlo is described as a down-to-earth summer camp dedicated to ensuring everyone has the time of their lives and grows closer to Jesus Christ, and its caring and enthusiastic counselors create a wide range of creative programs that are described as fun, challenging, and accepting of everyone’s individual abilities.

Camp Carlo is named after Carlo Acutis, an Italian boy born in 1991 who had a strong love for God and who built a website to categorize and promote Eucharistic miracles. The program notes that “Summer is not just about passing the time. Camp Carlo makes summer about forming new friendships, learning something new, and helping youth become the people God made them to be.” Camp Carlo has partnered with Good Harvest and is able to offer free lunch for all-day campers, and highlights “New this summer: FREE LUNCH!” The materials include the statements, “Carlo is a phenomenon of holiness that touches everyone, that pushes young people to approach the church, who helps those who are far from the faith,” attributed to Capuchin Father Carlos Acácio Gonçalves Ferreira, rector of the Shrine of the Renunciation, and “The Eucharist is my highway to Heaven,” attributed to St. Carlo Acutis. The program materials are marked ©2022 by Camp Carlo.
