About
Natural Born Champions is a non-profit 501(c)(3) community intervention program that offers a hub of educational and professional development programs and services. Its programs include Camp Champions, the NBC Champ Tank Summer Program for 5th–8th grade, the NBC Champ Tank Summer Program for ages 14–21, and the NBC Mentorship Program (SY 25–26). Natural Born Champions serves as a marketplace for educational resources and has implemented various intervention programs that work on many levels to help remove barriers that push students from pathways full of college and career opportunities and onto the school-to-prison-pipeline.

Since 2012, Natural Born Champions has been empowering youth through a number of enrichment programs and has thrived with Camp Champions. Natural Born Champions (NBC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) community intervention program that aims to provide educational and professional enrichment services to inner-city youth, educators, and communities in Baltimore, MD. NBC serves as an educational and professional development enrichment program that creates learning opportunities for youth and works to sustain healthy communities, and its programs promote equity, create opportunity, and address challenges facing neighbors and their neighborhoods.
Natural Born Champions has been recognized with Baltimore Civic Fund July 2022 Grant Awards, Baltimore Project Restore Grant Awardee 2022, KIVA funding in February 2022 and May 2022, and Miles White Beneficial Society support in April 2022, and has been featured on Fox 45 News. NBC Career Opportunities total grant fundraised, updated July 2022, is listed as $54,100, with an NBC fundraising goal of $100,000. R & M Trucking was Natural Born Champions’ first partner and donor, and CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services) provides vehicle donations as a giving option that supports the organization’s mission.
Live Benevolent, a mental health outpatient clinic that offers a variety of behavioral health services, partnered with Natural Born Champions to offer holistic therapy. United Ways Central MD partners with NBC to take on challenges facing local neighbors and neighborhoods. The Guardians started as a photo documentary and storytelling project to celebrate the unrecognized community work of Black female leaders from across Baltimore City neighborhoods, and Natural Born Champions is listed among Baltimore Civic Fund July 2022 Grant Awards, Baltimore Project Restore Grant Awardee 2022, KIVA Funded Feb 2022, KIVA Funded May 2022, Miles White Beneficial Society April 2022, and the Mayor's Office of Unemployment. Markia Beckwith is identified as NBC’s CEO and as a New Guardian Alert.
