Chesapeake Bay Outward Bound School offers wilderness expeditions, climbing elements, and immersive team-based programs. The program includes one-day programs for middle and high school students, summer expeditions for middle and high school students, and an adventure day camp. It also runs professional teambuilding experiences, expeditions for educators, and programs for veterans.

Chesapeake Bay Outward Bound School is a non-profit educational organization serving people of all ages, backgrounds, and socioeconomic status. Its mission is to spark lifelong growth through challenging experiences that inspire learning and self-discovery, both in and out of the classroom. The organization offers customizable professional teambuilding programs, including Classic, Women in Business, Emerging Leaders, Bridging the Gap, and custom options tailored to specific team needs, goals, and dynamics. It operates a permanent outdoor learning campus that is the first experiential outdoor classroom of its kind in Washington, D.C., purpose-built with climbing elements and immersive team-based programs. The school works across the DMV area in partnership with THEARC and runs programs for veterans. A $2 million investment from the A. James & Alice B. Clark Foundation, the largest in Chesapeake Bay Outward Bound School’s history, supports this work.
