Kids In Motion Summer Camp offers daily activities that include child development, arts and crafts, STEAM activities, movement, team building activities, free play, academics, puzzles and word searches, skits and scenarios, and arts & crafts. Campers follow a set daily schedule that includes breakfast and free time, morning meetings with a weekly theme, snacks, lunch, and both structured activities and free play throughout the day.
• Ages: 4–12 years old
• Schedule: 10-week summer camp with camp hours from 8:00 am–4:00 pm, Monday–Friday, with optional Before Care from 7:15–8:00 am and After Care from 4:00–5:30 pm
• Price: Weekly rate $220 (Monday–Friday, field trip fees included); 2 siblings $390; Camp T-shirt $12; Lunch $8; Before Care $25; After Care $25 ($1.00 per minute late); Drop-ins $75 ($30 additional on field trip days)
Kids In Motion Summer Camp is led by Founder Kimberly Jordan of Kids In Motion Summer Camp, LLC. Daily lessons and activities are created by certified educators in the district, and trained counselors lead age-appropriate activities with a 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio. Kimberly Jordan has nearly 20 years of experience as an elementary educator teaching all core subjects to kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders, and she is a Visual Arts Teacher at District of Columbia Public Schools for students in PreK–5th grade.
The camp describes its mission as providing unforgettable summer camp experiences through child development, arts and crafts, STEAM activities, and movement, with a 10-week summer program designed to foster personal growth and development and provide a fun-filled summer experience. The program lists life skills, arts and crafts, STEAM, and movement as key focus areas and notes that youth participate in multi-sensory field opportunities and weekly field trips. Kids In Motion Summer Camp notes there are no registration fees, offers sibling discounts and lunch options, and welcomes drop-ins. The camp is scheduled to run from Monday, June 15, 2026, through Friday, August 21, 2026, with closure on Friday, June 19th, and an in-person meet and greet on Friday, June 13, 2026, from 3:00–5:00 pm.
