Camp Summerset runs on regular camp hours from 9 am to 3 pm, with morning drop-off from 8:45 am to 9 am and afternoon pick-up from 2:55 pm to 3:05 pm. Families can also use Before Care from 7:30 am to 8:45 am and After Care from 3 pm to 6 pm as part of the program’s daily schedule.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Three sessions in 2026 — Session 1: June 22–July 2 (no camp Friday, July 3), Session 2: July 6–July 17, Session 3: July 20–July 31
• Price: Before Care: $60 per week if pre-arranged at the start of each session, or $20 per day for drop-in; After Care: $180 per week if pre-arranged at the start of each session, or $40 per day for drop-in if not pre-arranged
Camp Summerset is a program of the Somerset Elementary School PTA and is not part of Somerset Elementary School. In 2026, Camp Summerset will be in its 33rd year of hosting students from Somerset Elementary and nearby schools and serving the Somerset Elementary School community. The camp is licensed as a Youth Day Camp by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Camp Summerset offers four kinds of experiences depending on the age of the child: Mini Camp for rising kindergarteners, Classic Camp Juniors for rising 1st and 2nd graders, Classic Camp Seniors for rising 3rd to 6th graders, and CityVentures for rising 4th to 6th graders.
