Camp Summerset

Camp Summerset includes daily visits to the Town of Somerset Pool as part of the camp day. Camp Summerset 2026 will be held outdoors for the duration of the camp day, with an indoor air-conditioned space available as a health room and for relief from the heat. Clean restrooms with running water, hand washing stations, and cold filtered water will be available throughout the day.

• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Regular camp hours 9 am–3 pm, with three sessions from June 22–July 2 (no camp Friday, July 3), July 6–17, and July 20–31
• Price: Before Care $60 per week if pre-arranged at the start of each session or $20 per day drop-in; After Care $180 per week if pre-arranged at the start of each session or $40 per day drop-in if not pre-arranged

Camp Summerset is a program of the Somerset Elementary School PTA. In 2026, Camp Summerset will be in its 33rd year of hosting students from Somerset Elementary and nearby schools and serving the Somerset Elementary School community. The camp is licensed as a Youth Day Camp by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. The program is led by Director Greg Matwey. Camp Summerset 2026 offers Mini Camp for rising kindergarteners, Classic Camp Juniors for rising 1st and 2nd graders, Classic Camp Seniors for rising 3rd–6th graders, and CityVentures for rising 4th–6th graders.
