About
IKM Youth "Junior Krav" Programs focus on self-defense and fitness activities for children. The programs use Krav Maga, which is described as battle-tested and street-proven, and is the Israel Defense Force’s official self-defense and close-quarters-combat system. Krav Maga in these programs is known for its simplicity, instinctive nature, quick learning curve, utility, use of weapons of opportunity, adaptability, and proficiency.
The mission of IKM Youth "Junior Krav" Programs is to work with children to grow up strong, confident, and independent in a fun environment that is always changing, keeping them engaged while giving them an understanding of real-world practicality, and to train both their bodies and their minds.
Curriculum, programming, and progressive evolution for these programs come from United States Chief Instructor David Kahn under the authority of Grandmaster Haim Gidon. The leadership team includes Lead Instructor Alec Goenner for the Columbia, MD location, United States Chief Instructor David Kahn, and Grandmaster Haim Gidon. United States Chief Instructor David Kahn is a seven-time award winning author, speaker, advisor, and instructor. Israeli Krav Maga belongs to the original and longest-standing Israeli Krav Maga Association (IKMA), which was founded in 1978, and Israeli Krav Maga was established in 2007. Israeli Krav Maga serves the Israeli Krav Maga Association (IKMA), and United States Chief Instructor David Kahn is a seven-time award winning author.
Israeli Krav Maga offers youth and anti-bullying programs and integrates fitness at all levels. Military Krav Maga has been taught to all five branches of the U.S. Military along with select foreign units, and Military Krav Maga Programming is described as the world's premier combative training for specialized military training. Police Krav Maga is designed to improve law enforcement communities’ use-of-force capabilities, and Israeli Krav Maga works with law enforcement communities and first-responders. The Israeli Krav Maga Affiliate Program (IKMAP) provides a practical krav maga affiliate program that maintains a high level of quality and integrity, and successful completion of a 6-day instructor training course certifies participants as IKM instructors and enrolls them as official Israeli Krav Maga Affiliates.
