Camp Mardela offers winter and summer camping programs, rental groups, and community and fundraising events throughout the year. Activities include weekend winter retreats for campers in 2nd–8th grade, a family-friendly community skate night, a Valentine's Dinner, a Camp Auction, a family weekend camp in the fall, and youth weekend retreats in the winter. The camp also runs 5–6 weeks of overnight camp in the summer months.

Camp Mardela is a Church of the Brethren church camp founded in 1948 and is affiliated with the Church of the Brethren. Its mission states that it seeks to provide children and adults with opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, and recreation in a setting that deepens their appreciation for God's creation. The camp’s property spans approximately 120 acres of land, and facilities are available for rental in the fall, winter, spring, and summer. The family-friendly community Roller Skate Night is scheduled for February 8 from 7–9pm and includes music, black lights, and snacks, with a limited supply of skates available and a recommendation that attendees bring their own skates if they can. The Valentine's Dinner takes place on February 13–14 as a romantic plated meal served at tables in Krabill Hall, which is adorned in romantic decorations. The Camp Auction, described as Camp Mardela's largest fundraiser of the year, is scheduled for April 18 from 8am–1pm.
Camp Mardela’s leadership team includes Camp Administrator Jennifer Summy, Camp Board Chair Curtis Hartman, Part-Time Maintenance staff member Fred Miller, and BVS Volunteer Justine Eckert. Supporting churches include Denton Church of the Brethren, Easton Church of the Brethren, Community of Joy, Ridgely Church of the Brethren, Fairview Church of the Brethren, Bethany Church of the Brethren, Green Hill Church of the Brethren, Union Bridge Church of the Brethren, MCF Community Church, Long Green Valley Church of the Brethren, Thurmont Church of the Brethren, Oakton Church of the Brethren, and University Park Church of the Brethren. Camp Mardela invites churches to schedule a camp representative to share about Camp Mardela's ministry through announcements, updates, special music, children's time, or a full message. Camp Mardela states that it strives to exemplify the Brethren lifestyle of living peacefully, simply, and together.
