About
Wise Early Learning Center includes hands-on learning activities and fun, educational activities in its daily plan. The program uses Frog Street Preschool and Frog Street Pre-K in the classroom and applies a classroom setting for a better learning experience. Each classroom always has two adults present.

Wise Early Learning Center has over 25 years of experience and holds copyright from 2021–2025. The leadership team includes Owner/Director Sharon Winter, along with staff members Rachael King, Heather Howell (Pre-School 3 Teacher), and Stashia (Stasia) Lear. Teachers have degrees in elementary and early childhood education, each teacher has completed a college degree, and all assistants meet and go above the credentialed limit required by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). Each teacher is allotted time to plan and create lessons to meet the needs of all students and to meet the needs of students with special needs. The program states that it believes in guidance, not punishment, and that it provides fun and educational activities in its daily plan.
The mission of Wise Early Learning Center states that educators, parents, and the community teach and guide students as children learn to live in their world. The mission also states that the program aims to show children that better choices can be made throughout the day and that staff believe in demonstrating positive guidance through their own actions. The center states that it values each child as an individual and meets each child at his level of understanding, and that age-appropriate learning activities will foster a child’s love of learning. Wise Early Learning Center states that it implements all aspects of the developmental domains of kindergarten readiness with an abundance of hands-on learning activities and that it prepares children for kindergarten in every aspect of the seven domains of kindergarten readiness. The program states that it adheres to MSDE regulations, is a prep for kindergarten program, and believes in guidance, not punishment.
Wise Early Learning Center complies with MSDE and the Office of Child Care (OCC) regulations required to retain its license. The program is MSDE Approved Pre-K, is a Maryland EXCELS school, and fully participates in the Scholarship Program offered by MSDE and OCC. It has been voted Best Early Learning Center in Dundalk and surrounding communities from 2019–2024, and is also listed as voted best early learning center in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.
The center offers a summer camp program for children ages 3–10, and openings for school-age students are on a first-come, first-served basis, with summer camp openings offered to currently enrolled students first. The program states that it provides a safe and nurturing environment for preschoolers and that its facility is always a bright, clean learning environment. It also states that its teachers go above and beyond what is required by regulation and achieve maximum credits in order to better serve students and families.
