About
East Coast Martial Arts Programs offers Kid’s Martial Arts, Teen’s Martial Arts, Adult Martial Arts, Taekwondo, Gracie JiuJitsu, and self defense programs. The program also offers birthday parties, a summer camp, an afterschool program, and Black Belt candidate classes. This Certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Training Center is independently owned and operated.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
Master Tommy focuses on developing the “whole” student. The staff is described as very knowledgeable and well trained. The program is a Certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Training Center, and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, Gracie Combatives, Gracie Bullyproof, Women Empowered, and Certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Training Center are registered trademarks used under license from Gracie University. Class sizes are limited, and there is a Limited Time & Availability FREE TRIAL PROGRAM for new members only, with existing East Coast Martial Arts Programs members instructed not to complete the free trial form. During the Coronavirus period, students have had the ability to virtually attend weekly classes, and a Life Lessons Blog is used to share useful knowledge and principles with students. The program also offers extra training opportunities such as Black Belt candidate classes on Saturdays.
Parents and students describe first class instruction, helpful instructors, and senior classmates. One 11-year-old student reports starting martial arts at age 4, enjoying training with friends, meeting new people, and being on the AAU Competition Team. Several families report long-term participation, including one family training together and competing on East Coast Martial Arts Programs’ AAU Taekwondo Competition Team and earning Black Belts. Parents describe instructors as engaging, firm but kind, and motivated to help students train, including during the Coronavirus period through online classes, Zoom meetings, emails, and extra classes. Comments also note regularly cleaned bathrooms, two training floors divided into three areas that allow three different classes at the same time, and a seating area for spectators to watch. Multiple reviewers state that they highly recommend East Coast Martial Arts Programs.
