ABC Care Before & After School and Summer Camp Programs includes team-building activities, arts and crafts, games, crafts, exciting adventures, sports and team games, and other hands-on activities. The program also offers homework assistance and provides nutritious morning and afternoon snacks that meet at minimum two healthy food groups.

ABC Care, Inc.’s mission is to provide an exceptional child care program for children of varying school ages, from kindergarten through eighth grade, through unique, age-appropriate experiences, promoting individual growth and development. It operates as a nonprofit corporation and offers before and after school year and summer camp programs that provide academic and social enrichment for students and assurance and flexibility for families.
Credentialed and educated teachers provide students with homework assistance and a designated area to promote increased concentration. ABC Care school-based centers and summer camp programs hire supervisors and staff members who demonstrate experience and skills for working with children, including enthusiasm, compassion, patience, and respect. All staff undergo state and federal criminal background checks and complete up to 24 hours of Core of Knowledge and child supervisory training as well as First Aid/CPR and health and wellness training.
One parent from Piney Ridge Elementary School reports that staff are “always super friendly in the mornings” and “genuinely interacting with children (games, crafts, etc.).” A parent from Parr’s Ridge Elementary School notes that the center and staff are “always dependable” and welcome their child every morning “with a smile and a ‘good morning.’” A Westminster Elementary School parent shares that their daughter was “well cared for,” that staff encouraged her to assist younger children, and that the care was convenient and affordable.
