About
Forest Hill Dance offers a Performance Program, Recreation Classes, summer camps, summer evening intensives, and Pirouette Productions pre-professional dance productions. Dancers can take classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Pointe, Hip Hop, Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, Beginner Ballet, Level 1 Ballet/Tap, and Level 2 Ballet/Tap/Jazz, with some classes ending in an in-studio performance for families and others culminating in an end of the year recital. The program also holds auditions for local productions and organizes an annual Designer Bag Bingo fundraiser that includes bingo, raffles, 50/50's, door prizes, and food and drinks for purchase by cash or check.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Performance Program runs from September to May/June with classes starting September 15th and culminating in a large end of the year production; Recreation Classes run in 6 to 8 or 12 week slots with a Spring 2026 session starting January 12th; Summer Camps and summer evening intensives start June 22, 2026
• Price: Forest Hill Dance provides all students the opportunity to study with professional instructors at a cost all families can afford
Forest Hill Dance has served dancers since 2019 and is run by a Committee of Volunteers. The program serves the needs of over 200 dancers with seven instructors/choreographers and over seventy classes, and all dancers are required to take a Ballet class as the basics of dance. Instructors are described as personable and fully certified to teach dancing at all levels, and great effort is taken to ensure dancers are grouped together in classes where all can learn the same techniques and choreography.
Pirouette Productions, connected with Forest Hill Dance, focuses on family oriented pre-professional dance productions and provides high quality dance instruction and choreography to dancers 11 years and older in all genres of dance. Forest Hill Dance supports the performing arts in Harford County and encourages artistry and creativity in all its students. The Designer Bag Bingo fundraiser, held on November 15th with doors opening at 5:00 p.m. and bingo beginning at 6:00 p.m., helps the dance program and Pirouette Productions to help keep costs down.
