Fort Washington United lists its mission as “Education • Character • Martial Arts.” The leadership team includes Stephen Hopkins (Owner / Education Lead), Sameera Jenkins (Education Deputy Director & Head Tutor), Bernadette Batong (Education Consultant), Jason Canamaso (Martial Arts Director / MMA Fighter), Lakisha Hemsley (FWU Child Care Director), Lylie Suarez (Administrative Consultant), Jillian Canamaso (Office Manager Martial Arts Campus), Coach Larry Engono (Judo Coach), Dr. Kevin Dorrance (Owner / Medical Director / Business Consultant), Karen Marshall (Office Manager Education Campus), Coach Erin DeYoung (Taekwondo & Jiu-Jitsu Instructor), Nicole Hopkins (Owner / Out Reach Lead), and Coach Jason Passaro (Jiu-Jitsu Coach). If a participant is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must be present to sign consent waiver paperwork, but does not have to stay while the participant is in class.

Fort Washington United is expanding to a new 8,000 sq. ft. education facility that will include dedicated robotics and art laboratories, a full academic library, and a downstairs movement and athletics training area. The program will continue to operate its martial arts campus at its original location.

Parent and caregiver feedback includes comments from Henry R., who describes observing a kids’ class with coaches Nelson and Steve and mentions academic tutoring and homework help, and from Willie H., who describes his son using skills from three years of Fort Washington training. Felicia B. thanks the Fort Washington United team for a summer camp week that her child “looooooved,” and Fairlane U. describes regular updates from a coach in the after school program, as well as an 11th birthday party with a Nerf Blast theme that they “highly recommend.”
