Bright Eyes Early Learning Centers offers fun activities to help students refresh while supporting social, emotional, and problem solving skills. The program also includes several program extensions to get children up and moving and to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Since 1991, Bright Eyes Early Learning Centers has been dedicated to providing a home away from home experience in a strong learning environment and has continued to provide families in Montgomery, Frederick, and Washington Counties with quality early learning programs. The mission at Bright Eyes is to provide children with a loving, stimulating environment where they are free to grow, learn, and explore in the guidance of warm and gentle caregivers. The program follows a Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) approved curriculum, stays current with early learning best practices, and uses a daily schedule that is developmentally appropriate for children’s age and skill level. Bright Eyes Early Learning Centers offers full-time and part-time options for all ages, an array of flexible care options to fit the needs of families, and flexible care to accommodate family care needs, and it accepts all state and local vouchers.
The program has educated and nurturing teachers, a nurturing and friendly staff, and describes its team as some of the best early childhood educators. Bright Eyes is dedicated to providing staff with multiple opportunities for growth, training, and development. The leadership team includes Diane and Pete Holzberger, President and Vice President of Bright Eyes Inc., and New Market Director Sarah Bishop.
Bright Eyes Early Learning Centers celebrates culture and diversity and looks for family involvement in its programs and activities, and it welcomes parents as active participants in its programs. The program welcomes individuals of all abilities, will help all children celebrate their heritage and individuality, and will promote skills for conflict resolution. Staff will support children’s primary language through songs, activities, and learning words and phrases to better communicate with the child and families. The program will help families keep contact information current and immunization records up to date.
Several locations offer healthy snacks and lunches that follow Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) guidelines. Bright Eyes continues to follow safety protocols, health monitoring, temperature checks, and cleaning and sanitizing to minimize the spread of COVID-19. The program is currently Now Enrolling for Fall 2025–26. Families who tour and enroll within 2 weeks of their tour receive their first week free, with terms and conditions applying, and families who refer another family to Bright Eyes receive a reward.
Bright Eyes Early Learning Centers has received multiple recognitions, including Frederick News Post Best of the Best Child Care Center awards in 2017 and 2019, Washington Family Magazine’s 2018 Best for Families Award Winner for Montgomery County, Macaroni Kid’s 2018 Daisy Award Winner for Mt. Airy, Hula Frog’s 2018 Most Loved Childcare for Hagerstown, and Best of Gaithersburg 2019 Best of the Best Child Care Center and Preschool Award Winner. The program uses the phrase “Where Learning is FUN!” in its materials.
