About
Girl Scout Howard County Day Camp offers theme-centered activities that include crafts, STEM projects, games, dance, songs, and archery for campers in 3rd grade and up. The camp runs as a volunteer-run program each summer and operates as a 100% volunteer-run camp. During camp, the camp phone is answered each day from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

• Schedule: One week of day camp, with a 2026 session from June 29 to July 3 and daily camp hours from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm
• Price: Camp registration fees were 1st to 5th Grade: $225; 6th Grade: $240; PA Training (7th Grade and up): $225; Program Aides (8th to recent high school grads): $100
Campers are registered Girl Scouts in grades 1–6 as of September of the camp year. Girls in grades 7–12 can take part in training and support to become Program Aides, who assist staff and other adult volunteers in leading younger campers. GSHCDC has provided a place for kids to grow for more than 40 years and has run one week of day camp at a new place to call home in Howard County each year since 2023, with the next session planned for June 28 to July 2, 2027. The camp shares an annual camp booklet with information about what to expect, what to pack, Cooking Day, and other camp details, and it maintains an Amazon Wish List for supporters to purchase needed items. As the program looks ahead, it states a commitment to continue offering an affordable, outdoor growth experience for campers and notes that it found a new place to call home through a community partner in Howard County.
