Bar-T Kids Camp includes Kids Club Programs that run before and after school during the school year, as well as JLIT and LIT summer roles with set weekday hours. The program also includes staffed positions such as Aides, School-Age Teachers, Directors, Assistant Directors, Junior and Senior Counselors, and Lifeguards with defined age and training requirements.

The Kids Club Programs operate from September through June with morning hours from 7:00am to 9:30am and afternoon hours from 3:00pm to 6:30pm on weekdays. Aides work weekdays in the mornings from 6:30am to 9:30am and afternoons from 3:00pm to 6:30pm, and School-Age Teachers work weekdays in the mornings from 7:00am to 9:30am and afternoons from 3:00pm to 6:30pm. JLIT hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm on weekdays, and LIT hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm on weekdays from June through August. JLIT participants must commit to at least four weeks of work in the summer months of June through August. Required JLIT and LIT training sessions take place on Friday, May 30th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, Saturday, May 31st from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Saturday, June 7th from 8:00am to 5:00pm. JLIT programs run at all Bar-T camp locations, and Bar-T bus transportation is available for JLITs to both Mountainside and Ranch.

Applicants for Aide positions must be at least 16 years old and do not need formal experience. School-Age Teacher applicants must be at least 19 years old and have ADA Training, a high school diploma, either college credit or a Nine Hour Communication Course, proof of completion of a 45 Hour Growth & Development Course, a 45 Hour School Age Methods and Materials Course, and 400 hours of childcare experience. Director and Assistant Director applicants must be at least 19 years old, have proof of completion of a 45 Hour Growth & Development Course, a 45 Hour School Age Methods and Materials Course, Center Director Regulation Training, and 800 hours of childcare experience. JLIT applicants must be 14 years old by June 5th, and LIT applicants must have completed one full summer in the JLIT program and be 15 years old by June 5th. Lifeguard applicants must be at least 16 years old and have lifeguard certification, and Junior and Senior Counselors are at least 16 years old. Director and Assistant Director positions are benefit eligible, including healthcare, vision, dental, and an employee assistance program. Substitute positions are assigned on an as-needed basis, and Bar-T hires from the substitute list first depending on program needs and availability. The JLIT 2025 summer fee is $1,000.00 regardless of the number of weeks attended, and LITs receive $100 per week.

Bar-T Kids Camp states a mission of providing after-school childcare, summer day camps, outdoor education, corporate team building, and events, along with a variety of school year programs and summer day camps that match children’s emerging interests and talents.
