Lake Arbor KinderCare offers hands-on activities where children take part in science experiments, create artwork, and engage in pretend play and group play. The program also includes Spanish, summer and spring break care, and Champ Camp.

The center offers Discovery Preschool Programs for ages 2–3 years, Preschool Programs for ages 3–4 years, Prekindergarten Programs for ages 4–5 years, and Before- and After-School Programs for ages 5–12 years. Elementary schools bussed to include Lake Arbor Elementary, Kingsford Elementary, Kettering Elementary, and Ernest Everett Just Middle School for children under the age of 12. Lake Arbor KinderCare is now enrolling for spring and summer 2026 and offers school break camps. Health and safety is described as the top priority, and classrooms are described as safe and healthy. The program includes fun daily activities, passionate teachers, and great friends, and families can get help paying for child care.
The Center Director is Kara Tolson, who has been with KinderCare since 2017. Kara attended Prince Georges Community College and earned an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. The center’s curriculum is described as well-organized and aims to develop all students by nurturing and challenging them on an emotional, intellectual, and behavioral level. Teachers treat each student equally regardless of their abilities, background, and experiences. The center is accredited by NAEYC.
