• Ages: 2–6 years old
• Schedule: School-year program from September–June, plus a summer program from June–August in four 2-week sessions; class options Monday–Friday with before care and after care
The Milford Mill Church Child Development Center was organized in 1953 as a ministry of Milford Mill United Methodist Church. The center offers programs for 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds as well as kindergarten, with full-time and part-time options, including half days, full days, and 2, 3, 4, or 5 days a week, plus early and extended care. The program values small class sizes, flexible scheduling, and personal relationships with every student and their family, and states that it is for all children of appropriate ages regardless of racial, religious, or ethnic backgrounds, and does not discriminate against any family or staff.
The center’s stated vision is to offer all children and their families a place where they may grow in a socially, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually secure and loving atmosphere. Teachers at the center have decades of experience and passion that they bring to their classrooms. The program is accredited with the Maryland State Department of Education and has gone through the process of becoming a Maryland Excels Level 5 program, and it is currently up for reaccreditation. The school emphasizes the power of community, with students engaging in community oriented projects, and families can refer to the Milford Mill Church CDC Center Page newsletter for dates, events, and lunch menus.
