Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center Programs

Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center Programs include Family Nature Walks and other family activities. The programs take place along a shady walking path that winds through the woods past permanent and loaned sculpture, including over thirty works on loan from the Smithsonian Institution and the National Gallery of Art. Young guests can use the Fairy Lolly Creative Play Space, explore the Tree-mendous Trail and other trails, and visit the award-winning Arts Building with the Nature Nook, the artLAB Creative Reuse Studio, the Annmarie Gift Shop, and wrap around patios.

Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center features 50 acres of sculpture, native gardens, the Fairy Lolly natural play space, the Tree-Mendous Trail, two galleries with rotating exhibits, artful shopping, the Nature Nook, and the artLAB Creative Reuse Studio. Artists in the collection include Antonio Tobias Mendez, Barbara Hepworth, Cesar, Robert Engman, Jean Arp, Kenneth Snelson, and Fransisco Zuniga. Annmarie presents a variety of popular annual festivals, rotating exhibitions, family activities, and creative public programs. The Studio School offers classes for all ages and abilities, from pottery to dance, taught by professional artists and arts educators.

The leadership team includes Director Stacey Hann Ruff and Deputy Director / Curator of Education Jaimie Jeffrey, along with staff such as Exhibits & Education Specialists Helen Lindsey and Reiker Dean, Naturalist Hester Burch, Clay Studio Manager Leigh Dolesh, Education & Performing Arts Specialist Mark Andrew Britos, Program Support staff Chloe Harsha, Katrina Holmes, and Kira Okshewsky, and multiple horticulture, grounds, maintenance, housekeeping, guest services, development, marketing, and business staff. The Arts Building is described as award-winning. The organization is supported in part by the Maryland State Arts Council (msac.org).
