About

Ann Arbor Hills Child Development Center offers programs that include Music, Art, Inquiry, and Physical Education. In addition to morning programs, the program offers afternoon enrichment opportunities with themes in these areas. The teaching approach is called Play With a Purpose and is based on the unique nature of each child’s learning and development.

• Ages: 0–5 years old

Ann Arbor Hills Child Development Center offers programs for parents and toddlers, preschoolers, and Young 5’s. The program prioritizes play in classroom spaces while also introducing a wide range of materials, tools, language, books, and sensory experiences. Classrooms are described as warm and caring spaces with social and emotional well-being at the forefront of the goals for children. The program maintains a low student-to-teacher ratio. Children work toward their own individual standards of excellence in an atmosphere of encouragement fostered by the staff. Individual attention and understanding of the children is built and communicated between staff as children move through the school, providing continuity in approach and content. The program describes itself as a school built on relationships and states that knowing the child and family is the most important piece in educating lifelong learners. The program states that it believes in spontaneity, openness, freshness, gentleness, and wonder. Ann Arbor Hills Child Development Center is now scheduling tours for the 2026–27 school year, and it is also not too late to sign up for the current school year.
