PKSA Karate Ann Arbor North

PKSA Karate Ann Arbor North offers traditional martial arts training in Tang Soo Do, including self defense techniques and fitness. The program also offers martial arts camps in addition to regular classes.

PKSA Karate has been operating since February 2000, and PKSA Karate Ann Arbor North has been active in the Ann Arbor community for over 15 years. All of the instructors are described as caring teachers with lots of experience in martial arts and in working with children or adults, and they are trained in ways to bring out the best in students. The program states that it teaches traditional martial arts in a family friendly environment, with a balance between physical training in martial arts, self defense concepts, and simple philosophical lessons for a balanced life, within the traditional art of Tang Soo Do. The program also states a focus on improving concentration, self-discipline, respect, leadership skills, focus, self-confidence, and physical fitness for all ages.

PKSA Karate Ann Arbor North participates every year in several fundraising and charity events to benefit people in the Ann Arbor community, including the Turkey Brigade, which provides Thanksgiving meals to hundreds of families each year. Zoom classes from home are available. One parent reports that their son and they have been training there since spring and describes excellent instructors and a positive experience for both kids and adults.
