Andover Boys Travel Basketball is a program for players in grades 3–8 in the Andover community who go through a tryout process and are placed on teams that correspond with their skill level. The program focuses on both skill development on the court and personal development, and it strives to develop players with strong commitment to hard work, positive attitudes, and sportsmanship. For the fifth year, members of the JV and Varsity squads are spending time with the travel teams.
ATBB is led by a board president, varsity coach Jeremy Hable, and 8th grade coaches. ATBB is proud of its relationship with the Andover High School program, with members of the JV and Varsity squads spending time with travel teams to mentor and inspire, and sponsors include ETS Performance, Green Pro Golf Simulators, and Legendary Home Services. The program runs a Shoot-a-thon fundraiser with team and individual prizes such as a pizza party at Margie’s and Timberwolves tickets, and as a program, $8,313.94 was raised with 201 pledges in the Shoot-a-thon. The program also features Trophy Case photo submissions for weekly Facebook posts, and ATBB Scholarship recipients are recognized.
