Heartland Volleyball Events offers volleyball tournaments and playdates, including the Playdate Series, the Brown Legacy Cup, and the Heartland “Heart” Tourney. Heartland Volleyball Events is presenting its 2026 volleyball schedules as its 34th year of providing events. Heartland Volleyball Events has been part of the Minnesota JO Volleyball scene for about 30 years and notes that many clubs return to its events year after year. The 2026 schedule includes JVA-sanctioned events where teams of any affiliation may participate, including JVA, AAU, USAV, or independently insured teams. All registrations and payments are completed online through AES, and admission tickets are available online through VANCO.
The 2026 schedule includes the Mid-Winter Classic on multiple dates in January 2026 for divisions ranging from 11/12 through 17/18. The 7th Annual HornetFest is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, March 21–22, 2026, with one-day and two-day options for divisions from 10/11 through 17/18. Additional single-day events are scheduled on January 31, February 1, March 7, March 8, April 11, and April 12, 2026, for various divisions from 10/11 through 17/18. Some events are designated as two-day tournaments, including a 17/18 division event on March 21–22, 2026, and a combined 13/14 and 15/16 division event on January 31–February 1, 2026.
The NEW 2026 Heartland Events 10/11's Development League is for 10's under or beginning 11's, with two league dates on Saturday, January 17, 2026, and Saturday, January 31, 2026, and a tournament date on Saturday, February 14, 2026. The Playdate Series #1 includes dates on January 3 and January 18, 2026, and Playdate Series #2 includes a date on January 17, 2026, for divisions such as 11's, 12's, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17/18. The 2026 Brown Legacy Cup is scheduled for February 14–15, 2026, for divisions 13/14, 15/16, and 17/18. The Sunday, April 12, 2026 event is sponsored by Heartland Big Lake VB Club.
Heartland Volleyball Events lists compliance requirements related to the SafeSport Act of 2017 and compliance with MDH, CDC, and Governor Walz's guidelines, and states that the individual registering teams assumes all liability for this compliance. If a team is found not to be in compliance, they may be asked to comply and may be removed from competition for subsequent non-compliance.
The leadership for Heartland Volleyball Events includes Wally Brown as the Heartland Volleyball Events Executive Director and Heartland Events Director. Staff experience includes over 30 years of planning, directing, and coaching different sport clubs and tournaments of all ages in Minnesota.
