Minnesota PGA Junior Golf 'Sota Series offers golf events and competitions that include Drive, Chip & Putt, PGA Jr. League, the ‘Sota Series Match Play Championship, the Minnesota/Wisconsin PGA Junior Cup Matches, and the Minnesota 12 & Under Junior PGA Championship. The ‘Sota Series is made up of four different tours that are based on age and skill level. Each year, the ‘Sota Series offers over 180 individual events.

• Schedule: Events are offered on weekdays starting in early June through mid-August
• Price: For a yearly contribution fee of $30, families can support the growth of junior golf through the Minnesota Golf License Plate

The mission of Minnesota PGA Junior Golf is to provide playing opportunities for advanced, intermediate, and beginning golfers ages 7–19, and the mission of the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf ‘Sota Series is to provide playing opportunities for advanced, intermediate, and beginning golfers ages 8–19, with these playing opportunities promoting competition and camaraderie. Drive, Chip & Putt is a free, nationwide junior golf development competition that focuses on driving, chipping, and putting skills for boys and girls ages 7–15. PGA Jr. League is organized as local golf teams that play a series of games against each other using a scramble format, and PGA and LPGA Professionals serve as team Captains. To play in ‘Sota Series events, a child must sign up for a membership before selecting tournaments.

The Minnesota PGA Junior Golf 'Sota Series is sponsored by the Minnesota Section of the Professional Golfers Association of America, Inc., a non-profit corporation chartered in the state of Minnesota. The leadership team includes Karla Hagen, Director of Junior Golf; Catherine Pederson, Director of Player Engagement and Member Services; Megan Welch, Junior Golf Manager; and Tone Pulido, Minnesota PGA Tournament Director. All proceeds raised through Minnesota Golf License Plate sales support programs that focus on player development and access to golf in Minnesota, and the Minnesota PGA and Minnesota Golf Association work together to award local programs and PGA Professionals with funding for instruction, education, access to golf equipment, and playing opportunities throughout the state.
