About
Cottage Grove United Recreational Soccer offers recreational soccer through its Rec Soccer program and the CGU Futsal League. The program includes organized soccer activities for children in a non-competitive recreational setting.
• Ages: 3–10 years old
• Schedule: CGU manages 3 Rec sessions per year in Spring, Summer, and Fall, and each child can play in all 3 sessions
• Price: U4–U10: $125 flat fee per session plus a $15 CGAA fee per player; price includes a full uniform kit; volunteer head coaches receive a 50% reduction in their child’s session fees
Rec begins at U4 and goes through age U9/10, and Rec Soccer ends at age 10. The system automatically places each child in the correct age group, and players who play in the competitive program cannot play in Rec. Financial assistance is limited to players at the traveling levels and is not available for Rec Soccer.
All coaches are required to complete background checks and safety training in Trusted Coaches. Head coaches can request one player, in addition to their own child, to be placed on their team, and no other friend requests are accommodated. Media taken within Cottage Grove United programs, events, and activities, including those in partnership with Cottage Grove United, may be included in their publications, including interviews, photos, and videos.
